NJBIZ Honors Robert J. DiLeo as 2025 Icon in Business: A Legacy of Service and Vision at NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co.
Woodbridge/Piscataway, NJ [April 16, 2025] – Robert J. DiLeo, Principal/Co-Founder of NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co. (NAIDB); Founder of DiLeo Property Group, LLC; and Trustee of the DiLeo Family Foundation has been named a 2025 NJBIZ Icon in Business, a recognition that celebrates a distinguished 40-year commercial real estate career. DiLeo is being acknowledged for community engagement and an entrepreneurial spirit tied to the strength of his connections among clients, across the industry and within the New Jersey community.
“Early on in my professional career as a sales associate, while completing my studies at Rutgers University, I was exposed to the art of site selection, development, property management and ownership,” said DiLeo. “This learned skill set provided the groundwork for my client-centric approach that continues today.”
His influence also extends beyond the transaction to cultivating a firm that mirrors the values instilled by his grandfather, Giovanni (John), and father, Victor DiLeo, whose real estate and insurance business was established in Piscataway in 1937.
DiLeo’s work with NAIDB has facilitated deals for prominent corporations and small local businesses. This dual perspective – brokerage and development – offers a unique understanding of market intricacies and the transaction over many economic cycles that has given him the experience to provide exceptional and timely guidance to his clients.
DiLeo’s legacy is not just confined to commercial real estate brokerage and development. The DiLeo Family Foundation champions educational, cultural and health opportunities that address the needs of underserved communities. His involvement with organizations like State Theatre New Jersey, Embrace Kids Foundation, The Arnold Shwartz and Van Winkle Foundations showcases a dedication to enriching lives beyond commerce.
His leadership philosophy, which fosters a team approach, has earned NAIDB numerous accolades, including recognition as a leader in real estate, best place to work and a strong commitment to community outreach. “Our goal has always been to build a firm that reflects the principles and values of my family – a firm that thrives on repeat and referral business gained through personal connection, mutual respect and service,” he said.
DiLeo’s strategic merger with NAI Eric Bram & Co. in 2008, forming NAIDB, marked the blending of multi-generational expertise with a vision towards future success. The firm’s expansion, including opening a new office in Woodbridge, NJ in 2002, along with a growing team of professionals, signals a commitment to future generations.
In addition to his establishment of the DiLeo Family Foundation, DiLeo is a member of the Somerset Patriots Advisory Board and Trustee of State Theatre NJ. Recent-past Executive Board positions also include the Embrace Kids Foundation, Middlesex County College Foundation, President of the Piscataway Italian American Club, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and the Piscataway Community Foundation.
As a natural extension of this commitment within the scope of commercial real estate, DiLeo has held leadership positions in various organizations. He is an active member and Past President of the Industrial Office Real Estate Brokers Association (IOREBA), the oldest commercial real estate brokerage organization in the country, and an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
